Twincommunicator for Palm

Description

This software is part of Twincommunicator product from Twin Communication of America, Inc.

This software is released as free software to demonstrate functionalities and capabilities of the complete product. Actual use of the software requires an additional hardware that will connect to your Palm via a standard RS232 cable. Without the additional hardware, the software will run in demonstration mode. The complete product (including necessary hardware) can be purchased separately from Twincom.net.

Twincommunicator product is useful to hardware engineers that need the following functionalities:

Develop and debug hardware using I2C bus
Generate standard and custom video signals (NTSC and PAL)

Requirements

Palm 125 and above, CLIE PEG-TG50, PEG-T600C and PEG-T650
Palm OS(R) Software 4.1 and 5.0

This software requires that you have approximately 550KB of available memory in your Palm handheld. Before installing this application, confirm that there is enough memory available.

To check the available memory in your handheld:

Tap the "Home" icon
Tap the "Menu" icon and select "App"
Tap "Info..." from the App drop-down list
All internal data information is displayed
Tap "Size" at the bottom of the screen
Check the "Free Space:..." listed
Tap the "Done" button to exit

Make sure that Palm Desktop for your handheld software is installed on your PC from the installation CD-ROM supplied with your handheld and that the PC is configured to be able to perform a HotSync(R) operation.

Installation Instructions

There are 2 Palm software included in this release:

I2CBusMon.prc (200KB) - software to interface and manipulate I2C bus
TVG.prc (350KB) - software to generate video signals (NTSC/PAL)

Be sure to read the Software License Agreement contained in License.txt.

Double-click on I2CBusMon.prc file to queue the file for installation.
Double-click on TVG.prc file to queue the file for installation.

Follow the normal steps to install PRC files on your handheld.
Place your handheld on the cradle, and perform a HotSync operation.

Confirm a Successful Installation

Depending on the handheld model, tap or press the "Home" icon on the handheld.

Tap the "Home" icon
Tap the "Menu" icon and select "App"
Tap "Info..." from the App drop-down list
All internal data information is displayed
Tap "Version" at the bottom of the screen
Scroll down the list and confirm that the following version applications are displayed:

Tap the "Done" button to exit.
