Using Three Power Management Buttons
Congratulations on your purchasing this multimedia keyboard. With three power management buttons, this keyboard is energy-efficient to control the system's power. The better is, this keyboard puts you in the driver's seat with the special keys for multimedia and the Internet. Access the WWW Home, Search, or My Favorite at the touch of a key, control speaker volume and CD functions. Plus, save valuable mouseclicks with the dedicated Shortcut key to your most commonly used application. You'll discover your performance will be enhanced to a high level with this keyboard for multimedia and the Web.
To use these multimedia buttons, you have to install KeyMaestro multimedia keyboard driver first.
Please note that you have to uninstall the driver first if you want to re-install the driver.
Num
Lock: The KeyMaestro driver icon will show as
when you press the num lock button.
Caps Lock: The KeyMaestro driver icon will show as
when you press the caps lock button.
Scroll Lock: The KeyMaestro driver icon will show as
when you press the scroll lock button.
Using Three Power Management Buttons
Your keyboard has the power management keys which are Power off, Sleep, and Wake up three keys. They also can be called ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) keys.

Power off | closes the operating system and powers down the system. |

Sleep | puts your system to sleep (power-saving) mode. Any key will wake up your system and return to the previous working status. |

Wake up | wakes up your system and returns to the previous working status. |
There are a row of multimedia keys on the top of keyboard. The functions are described as below.
Note: These keys are reprogrammable. They can be configured as a string, a combination key, a web site, an existing file, or a function the driver pre-defines for you. To reconfigure these keys, click the KeyMaestro icon on the taskbar to select Commands in the Menu.

My Favorite | opens My Favorite folder for you to select your favorite web site. |

WWW Home | launches to your Internet Browser application which should be pre-installed. If you have installed two browsers in your system, the system default one will be opened. Mostly the system default is the later installed one. |

WWW Search | launches to your Internet Browser application and go to the Search Engine web site. |

Shortcut | provides you to create an easy access to the documents and programs you use most often. The default setting for Shortcut button is to launch Windows accessory program "Notepad". |

Previous /
Fast Backward |
skips backward to the previous file/track when pressing once quickly.

Fast Forward |
skips forward to the next file/track when pressing once quickly.

Eject | ejects/loads the CD tray. |

Play/Pause | presses this button to play Audio CD or Video CD, or to pause it. When it is paused, you may press the button again to resume it from the current position. |
If you right-click the KeyMaestro icon on the
taskbar, a menu will pop up with the following options.
Click on this command, a customization dialogue box will pop up with following functions.
1. Select a HotKey
* Label
In the "Button Label" box, type the name of application that the button will launch, or any name that will help you remember the function of the button. This label will appear on screen each time you press the button.
* Functions
You can see a list of pre-defined functions and set one of them for the button.
* Launch Application or Website
Type in the path to an often-used application or click the Browse button to select any file in your computer. If you want to attach a web page to the button, just simply type in the website address in the dialogue box.
* Combination Key
In many Windows application, there are many hot keys to execute some often-used commands. Some hot keys are combined with two or three keys pressed simultaneously and some are combined with Windows key. It is not easy to press and remember those hot keys. Now you can define those complicated hot keys you always forgot. The ways to define combination keys are as follows:
- Combination key: Any kind of combination is available. Please follow the steps: Click “Combination Key”→ press combination commands in the blank, such as [Alt] + [F4] (= close window) or [Ctrl] + [A] (= select all) →click “OK”.
- Windows key: You can also define the button as an often-used Windows key function. The default status of Windows key is disabled.
For example: If you want to open the start page of Microsoft Media Center PC, please follow the steps below: Click "Combination Key"→ check "Windows Key"→ press "[Alt]+ [Enter]" in the blank →click "OK".
There are also other standard Window s key combination commands you can define, such as [Windows] + [D] (= show Desktop).
* String
You may define the button as a string of texts which needs to be input often. The maximum characters are 500. Taking good advantages of this function can save much your text input time and makes your works more efficient.
2. Enable Display Label
This command is to show or hide the OSD (On Screen Display). When the OSD is enabled, each time you press any one of the multimedia buttons, its function name (button label) will show on the right-bottom corner on the screen. The default of this function is enabled.
3. Enable Taskbar Icon
This
command is to show or hide the taskbar driver icon. When the function is
enabled, you can see a driver icon
its function name (button label) will show on the right-bottom corner of the
screen. If you want to reload it again, you can select Start
=> Program => Configure to launch it. The
default of this function is enabled.
4. Enable Auto Play
This command is to show or hide the auto play function. When the function is enabled, the Microsoft Media Player will show on the screen after you press the “Play” key of the multimedia keys. For Winamp user, you can use the multimedia keys to control the Winamp function after you call out the Winamp and disable the Auto play function. The default of this function is enabled.
5. Reset all hot keys to Default Settings
Press the button will reset all hot keys to default settings.
Select this command to exit from this driver program, but not to remove (uninstall). After you restart your system, the driver will be loaded again.
In case you have some troubles on installing other programs, we recommend you to exit this Input Device Driver firstly in order to have a cleaner system environment.
